Urgent visits: street photos of your property in hours, not days

When 48 hours is too long to wait, an urgent visit books an arrival window that starts as soon as two hours from now. What it costs, how to book one, how cancelling differs, and when owners use one.

Most visits are booked a few days ahead, and for most needs that is plenty. Some days it is not: the roads have just reopened after a storm, a closing is on the calendar, or someone has mentioned something they saw from the street. For those days there is the urgent visit: the same street-view photo set, in an arrival window that starts as soon as two hours from now.

What an urgent visit is

A standard visit is booked at least 48 hours ahead. Any window that starts sooner than that is an urgent visit. The earliest starts two hours from now, counted from the top of the next hour, so if you book at 12:10, the soonest window is 3–5 PM.

Visits run Monday through Saturday in six two-hour arrival windows: 7–9 AM, 9–11 AM, 11 AM–1 PM, 1–3 PM, 3–5 PM, and 5–7 PM, Eastern time. Windows fill as they are booked, so how soon you can be seen depends on which windows are still open.

The visit itself is the same as any other. On a Front View visit the photographer arrives inside your window and photographs the property from the public street and sidewalk. We review each photo after the visit and post the set to your account, typically the same day. A Front View visit typically delivers 8 timestamped exterior photos, always at least 4.

What it costs

An urgent visit is its standard price plus an urgent charge, and the booking page shows the total before you pay. The photos are the same either way; the urgent charge is for the window being held for you from the moment you pay, with the day arranged around it.

Promotions apply to the visit price, never to the urgent charge. Account credit can pay for the whole urgent price.

How to book one

Start the same way as any visit: enter the address. If urgent windows are open, the address page lists the soonest dates in a row marked Urgent, and the price beneath changes to the urgent price when you pick one of them.

On the booking page, every window shows its own price, so one day can have urgent windows in the morning and standard ones later. Choosing an urgent window marks the visit as urgent before you go any further. The agreement you tick before paying states the urgent terms in plain words, and the button shows the amount you will pay. If no urgent window is open, the earliest standard window is the soonest we can offer.

Cancelling works differently

An urgent window is held for you from the moment you pay, and the day is arranged around it, so the cancellation rules are not the same as for a standard visit. The booking page says so before you pay, and section 6 of the Terms of Service is where it is written down.

  • Urgent visit, within 30 minutes of paying: cancel for a full refund. This is there so a mistake, such as the wrong address, can be undone.
  • Urgent visit, after 30 minutes: it cannot be rescheduled or refunded, unless we cannot carry out the visit for a reason on our side, in which case you choose a full refund or a free reschedule.
  • Standard visit: a full refund or a free reschedule more than 48 hours before the window, one free reschedule or a full service credit inside 48 hours, and a full refund if you cancel within two hours of booking.

When owners use one

An urgent visit is for the times you want a dated picture of the outside of the property now rather than later. The occasions owners mention most:

  • After a storm has passed and the roads are open again, to see the street side of the house before cleanup changes it
  • Before a closing or a showing, to see how the front of the house looks now
  • When an insurer asks for current photos of the exterior
  • When a neighbor or the HOA mentions something visible from the street, to see what they are describing

What an urgent visit is not

Paying for a sooner window does not change what a visit is. On a Front View visit the photographer stays on the public street and sidewalk, never enters the property, and photographs only what can be seen from there. We do not assess the condition of anything, we do not determine what caused any damage, and we do not report on people.

An urgent visit is not an inspection, a security, patrol, or monitoring service, or an investigation. We do not send anyone out while a warning, a curfew, or an evacuation order is in effect, however soon the window. If the photos show something that needs a closer look, the next step is a professional on the property.

How a visit works

No visits are open for booking right now. If you have an account, your past visits and photos are still there.

Every visit is a photographic record of the outside of the property. It is not a home inspection, an appraisal, or a security, patrol, or investigation service.
